Golf Master 168
Bangkok, Thailand
Golf Master 168 serves dual purposes, housing a golf equipment store on the ground floor and a private residence for a family of three on the upper level. Set on a compact, trapezoidal site of just 280 square meters, the design maximizes spatial perception to make the building feel larger than its footprint suggests.
At the entrance, two square shutter doors create the visual illusion that the structure sits on a rectangular lot, subtly correcting the irregularity of the site. Inside, a narrow strip of glass roofing brings natural light into the space, eliminating the need for traditional windows that would be difficult to accommodate within the tight layout.
The material palette—including bare concrete blocks, perforated steel panels, and black metal sheet walls—was selected to reduce reliance on built-in furniture. These raw, industrial finishes also provide a neutral and textured backdrop that accentuates the sleek, gleaming surfaces of the golf merchandise on display.
