365 Residence

Pathum Thani, Thailand

365 Residence serves as both a home and a workspace for a couple of cosmetic entrepreneurs and their son. The husband, a passionate art collector and pilot, has a lifestyle that seamlessly blends creativity, discipline, and introspection—qualities that are intricately woven into the architectural narrative of the house. More than a dwelling, the residence is conceived as a personal gallery and a reflection of the owners’ identities.

The façade draws inspiration from the husband’s favorite painting, Sunyata, which embodies the Buddhist concept of emptiness or “nothingness.” This philosophy is expressed architecturally through a circular void—a spatial gesture that frames the idea of emptiness as presence, not absence. The circle becomes a contemplative element, a void that defines space rather than occupies it.

A large reflective glass panel on the façade mirrors the surrounding tropical forest, an ongoing reforestation project led by the owner. This mirrored surface softens the scale of the otherwise monumental elevation and introduces a sense of ambiguity and mystery. The ever-changing reflections not only blur the boundary between architecture and landscape but also metaphorically express the layered and introspective personality of the owner.
